So I have this thing about gis. I really don't like the way white gis go grey and yellow, and I really don't fancy scrubbing them clean everyday. A hangover from years and years of washing karate gis - I prefer black gis - some might say I'm collecting...(this is gi #7 for me).
Gracie Oceania has only ever had white gis, and my instructor Mario Yokoyama has been trying to get me to wear one forever. After much bargaining, here it is - my new Gracie Oceania black competition gi. Came with a catch though - gi #8 is a white Gracie Oceania gi - for use when teaching at the Academy. I think I can live with that.

Heh - I only ever wear white gis (as per this). I don't think I could pull off the ninja look. ;)
