2011 Abu Dhabi Pro Gi weigh-in day

So the Australian female contingent touched down in Abu Dhabi around 7am local time and were shipped straight to our hotel and a hot buffet breakfast (yum)!

After a quick freshen up (the flight was almost 15 hours) the jet-lagged lot of us hauled ourselves over to the competition stadium, where it was weigh-ins, gi checks and patch sewing.

Talk about non-stop...

Back to the hotel, a huge buffet lunch and a light training session. Quick check of the clock showed 2pm local time (8pm in Sydney). Jet-lagged and trying to occupy myself so I don't fall asleep too early, I took to exploring the hotel, and even had a chat to Ryan Gracie Jiu Jitsu head coach Celsinho Vinicius (with liberal use of Google translator).

Lots of recognisable faces around, and sure to be some world-class jiu jitsu on the cards next few days. Looking forward to sleeping (after another huge buffet meal) and competing! Too tired to think, so photos will have to do:
